Ms. Nyokabi Njuguna is a Kenyan entrepreneur with investments in Entrepreneurship Education, Management Training & Consulting and the Oil & Gas sector.
She has over 22 years’ experience in commercial entrepreneurship and private sector development with a focus on Small, Medium Enterprises and High Growth Ventures.
She is CEO at E+L™ – a Kenyan Entrepreneurship Education and consulting practice that promotes entrepreneurship ecosystems through training, mentorship, funding and market linkages in East Africa.
She is a director at Marketing Strategies & Solutions (MSS) – a business, marketing and human capital development consulting practice. Here she has co-directed and helped transform several Privately-Held Companies and Family-Owned Businesses into regional players with their revenues and profitabilities registering double digit growth. She is also a business and branding coach and mentor to entrepreneur founders, business leaders and C-level executives.
She is also a director at Sibiloi Energy – an emerging oil trading company.
She has been advisor to the Kenya Vision 2030 leadership on entrepreneurship macroeconomic policies and leveraging PPPs and, played the lead role as member of the Technical Working Group on the ‘Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship (YL&E) flagship project whose strategy document was adopted into Kenya’s MTP2.
She sits on the advisory boards of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Program at the Centre for Executive & Entrepreneurial Development (CEED) at USIU Africa; Kenya Markets Trust (a £23.5mn fund focused on Agriculture); EPROCA Finland; KGGA among others.
She has contributed on entrepreneurship and commercial innovation to the G8 Africa Forum, UNCTAD, World Economic Forum, World Entrepreneurship Forum and local & global media including Msafiri magazine. She is alumnus – Fortune 500/ US State Department Global Women’s Mentoring Program. She is a motivational speaker and trainer and has spoken to over 4000 persons locally and globally.
She is an alumnus of the University of Nairobi and has attended several training programs on branding, marketing, entrepreneurship and leadership and; a business creation program by Columbia Business School in Nairobi. She is a certified Organisational Performance Index (OPI) assessor by the Kenya Institute of Management and holds a certificate in business counselling skills & executive coaching by Tack International.
Her strengths include: enhanced public speaking skills; keen commercial mind; good strategic appreciation and vision and; ability to build and implement sophisticated projects/brands/plans. She is very keen on designing game changing entrepreneurial ecosystems for ongoing social and economic development in Kenya and the region.
