A story is told about two seeds lying side by side in fertile soil. The first seed said,”I want to grow! I want to send my roots deep into the soil beneath me and thrust my sprouts through the earth’s crust.I want to unfurl my tender buds like banners and to announce the arrival of spring. I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and blessing of the morning dew on my petals. And indeed she grew and flourished.

On the other hand, the second seed said,  ”Hmmm, if I send my roots into the ground below, I may not know what I will encounter in the dark. If I push my way into the dark soils, I may end up damaging my delicate sprouts. What if I let my bud open and a snail strikes to each them or I open up my blossoms and a child pulls me off from the ground?”I think I will wait in the soil for a while until it is safe. “The seed concluded. And he waited.

One spring morning, a yard hen was scratching around the ground looking for food when he came along the waiting seed and promptly ate it.How sad!

There are two kinds of people. Some are like the flourishing seed, very positive about life and always looking forward to dream big, grow and prosper. These are the people who acknowledge that yes there are hurdles along the way but they focus on the bright future ahead knowing that great things are in store for them. They get into the job market expectant of good things to come, they start a business with a positive mindset,  taking the necessary risks wisely. They are not afraid of loving because of the fear of getting hurt etc. Such people are the ones who prosper.

The other kinds of people are like the waiting seed who think negatively and refuse to take risks in life. They are always afraid of what might go wrong. They always think that people are there to take advantage of them, they think that there are no jobs even if they study hard, they are afraid of investing, they basically think the world is there to swallow them up. Sometimes, there is no right time, you just need to take advantage of the current situation and get out of your comfort zone. The longer you stay there, the easier it is for the ‘hen’ to find you and gobble you up before you achieve what you should have achieved in your life.
