Somebody wrote about magic not being in the products, in the films, in the stories told in writing or any meetings. He went ahead to indicate that the magic that makes things better is inside you, and personal growth makes this magic work for you.

These are deep words indeed. If I were allowed, I would probably say there is no magic rather, it is all an inside job done so well to a level where the results are fascinating. I bet we have heard individuals asking each other the magic they’re using in doing things so well. We have heard people say: “Perfect body dear and lovely curves, what magic are you using?” Or wow!  Your business has picked up so fast. What is the magic?  Or your boss adores you, what magic did you use on him/ her?

This magic word amazes me. I mean it has been given so much weight and meaning than it probably deserves. I believe most of us have had a chance to watch one or more science fiction movies. If not, then the Nollywood movies to be specific those with magicians and witchcraft practices. In instances where magic is employed, the results are outstanding. But the point is not about the quality of the results but rather, on how long they last. We all want outstanding and long lived results. However, magic is like a shortcut and irrespective of how outstanding you may think it is, the outcome will crumble to nothing at some point.

Clearly, that well toned beautiful body is not a result of magic. The business that has sprouted from nothing so fast is not magic at all. That is down to hard work that is well blended with a daring personality, the will to try even when discouraged because it seems impossible, and the will to persevere even after a heavy fall. That is the magic that in real sense is the ATTITUDE. Magic needs hard work and perseverance and probably what is needed to get that short-lived illusion is costly than following the right path (at least from the movies…)

To have more than you’ve got, become more than you are – Jim Rohn. That body, that empire or that great job will only be, if we step up our game. Work out more, put more into the business and change the strategy to get there. If we are easily discouraged and let go very fast, then it is time to work on that attitude. Change it to determination and the will to push even harder. Remember about deciding? It is always about our inside job that is our attitude to everything. Positive attitude attains what is impossible in the face of others. To read more posts by Gertrude, click HERE
