Men are triggered by support from their loved ones, let me tell you. Despite how many people tell you how ingenious your ideas are, how much potential you carry, it is a whole different paradigm when it comes from your loved one. I dare you to try it.

When your loved one is set out on a mission, no matter how impossible it seems, just whisper in his ear that you believe in him; that he can do it and he will. For the record, he will do it in a classic fashion. An internal explosion within him propels an enormous belief that makes him larger than life.

When you suspect he’s having a bad day, talk to him and encourage him to rise above it. When you feel he is walking into an unfavourable situation or has remained too long in a toxic situation, talk him out of it and encourage him to see beyond, to stretch his enormous wings of hope and to take a leap of faith. He will fly. Believe that.

The greatest need in a human being is the desire to be loved and once you find that special person, you grant them visa free entry to the most quiet and deepest recesses of your heart. The quality of words they speak into your soul could make you flourish into a wellspring of life and a bubbling beauty to behold, gushing forth like a beautiful swan. This same person holds the capacity to pollute your hopes and crush your dreams. Be careful with your choice of words especially with your dearest.

Words spoken in a rushor harsh angry words are like choice swords, they pierce into the innermost parts of the belly. Avoid friendly fire, even harsh words for a joke. Be gentle with your words and smooth with your tongue. You could revive the dying embers of a man’s dream and flame him back into gladiator mode; heavily inspired and ready to take on the universe.  Until we speak again, I am your host Mitchell Odhiambo. Welcome to a man’s world. To get a female perspective, please click HERE to read my colleague Mercy’s article.
