LIFE LESSON – ARE YOU BUSY ON THE ROAD TO NO WHERE?
Life seems to be getting busier and busier and despite technological advances which many of us thought would lighten our workload, the opposite seems to be true.
But wait! Look around you. Are all busy people successful? The simple answer is no. For sure, most successful people put in long hours, work hard, are disciplined and so forth, yet many others also put in long hours but to no avail.
So what makes the difference between two people who put in the same hours and yet one is far more successful than another? The answer: Time management and prioritising work. Lack of time management and not being able to prioritise tasks means you are simply on the road or treadmill to nowhere. For eg. a To Do list should not remain a To DO list forever. It needs to be moved to a DONE list! Lists should be divided into 3 boxes: DO, DELETE, DELEGATE, end of story! Do not be tempted to have a DEFER or DELAY list in your life. Too many people are busy deferring or delaying things in life, rushing around and not achieving anything of substance.
So, use your time productively. When you are rushing around, ask yourself this: am I being productive or simply busy? Remember: to DO, DELETE or DELEGATE!
