I remember singing along to JLo’s song when I was young; My love don’t cost a thing and I laugh.

My friend, nothing is more expensive than this mystery called love. The teacher says in his songs, Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot drown it. Even if a man gave all his wealth for love, it would be utterly scorned. To put it into perspective; this my friend was not a peasant. These are the words of Solomon, Son of David, King of Israel. The fellow was so wealthy, gold to him was as good as rock. Common ordinary stone. He was right in every sense.

A woman told me, men think women want their cars, money and gifts but that this is not strictly true. A woman that loves you, wants your time, your smile, your honesty, your effort and you choosing her as a priority. Yes you got that right. She wants the highest pedestal an earthly being can get and she is not in the habit of sharing it with anyone else. She wants it all to herself. Take a minute and think about that.

This thing is real; you will sacrifice your time, your money, your concentration dreaming of new ways to love the woman you have and I know you don’t notice. You’re addicted to this drug, you don’t notice. Love is like elixir. The reward is enormous. Once you find it, you want to be high on it every time. They should probably rebrand you “The Alchemist”. I’ve seen the rowdiest of folks turn sweet when in love. It’s unbelievable.

It is the greatest gift you must agree that the Creator gave his creation. The capacity to love especially that special person is nothing short of magical. It is impossible to quantify in monetary terms how much someone is worth to you, one word I think is appropriate though is Priceless. Go show your loved one, the height and depth, the width and breadth of your love.  Until we speak again, I am your host Mitchell Odhiambo.
