Ladies and gentlemen, once again, the time is upon us, Come one, Come all and witness the self- destruction of the mighty Arsenal, featuring an unconscious Hector Bellerin, a jumping Coquelin, and a goal-shy Alexis Sanchez. Blockbuster stuff I say. You can’t make this stuff up.
We are at that point of the season where Arsenal, after a good first half of the season, throw all ambitions away and drop their title winning focus to clinching on a top four spot, and to all this we say, classic Arsenal.
It reaches a point where you cannot blame Wenger anymore. It is the management that’s to receive blame. After all, how can a club with so much history of success and trophies be lowered to a menu made up of top four football for dinner and the occasional FA cup trophy, if chef Wenger springs up a surprise. It’s just not fair for the fans who have been there through thick and thin.
If Arsenal claim to be ambitious, they should be drawing up a shortlist of possible successors to Arsene Wenger. There is no denying his managerial talent and record. He is a top-class manager and who will be quite hard to replace however, that decision will have to be made. The club has to move forward. IT IS TIME.
