There is nothing as powerful as the human mind. Everything we do begins from a thought. A wise man once said that whatever a man thinks, so is he. You are what you think about yourself.
The truth is that if you do not believe in yourself then nobody will. If I do not believe that I can get that job then nobody will believe it either. It is impossible to convince someone of something that you, yourself, do not believe in. What you choose to keep in your mind can either make you or break you. Therefore be careful what you store in your mind. Our eyes and ears act as gates to our minds.
In order to have a positive mind that can dream greater things, you should guard your ‘ear gate’ because what you listen to will determine your thoughts, will determine your emotions, your decisions, your actions, your habits, which in turn, will then determine your destiny. It is a great ripple effect so you ought to be selective about what you allow to enter your ear gate and thus, determine your thoughts.
You also need to guard your eye gate. Eyes represent vision. What do you choose to see? The lack of resources or the opportunities and ideas coming your way?, Poverty or a rich life ahead? Capability or incapability?
If you choose to focus on one thing then the things around it become blurry so adjust your focus to the right thing and all the discouragements around it will become blurred. Dare to dream and act on the dream then you will be surprised at how high you will fly, in this ‘game’ called life.
