On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced head of department (pref. a PRINCE2 (or equivalent) qualified Project Manager)). The successful candidate will have to have really strong project management skills to oversee and manage all of the client’s construction projects (last month there were 70 simultaneous projects all over Kenya) for building their academies.
Successful candidates don’t necessarily have to have construction experience (although that would be a real plus), but they do need to be able to demand/drive performance from geographically distributed teams working to very tight deadlines and budgets in an industry that’s prone to slack & dropped deadlines amongst other things.
NOTE – This is a senior position and would suit a Project Manager who is already in a similar (senior/management) position and with relevant experience. See also this link for the Project Manager role
