As you age, many things compete for your attention and if you are not careful, you will end up living your life for the benefit of others at your own expense. With the many demands pulling you, you have to wise up and align your preferences according to priority.

What do you think is more important in life? Find time for it. Make time for your family and your loved ones. Be careful not to get carried away with your day to day hustles. Create time to spend with the ones you love. Learn to forgive them and to ask for forgiveness from the ones you hurt.

Take that vacation and go away with your loved ones. Cut down on the time you spend on social media, ignore the many hullaballoos and focus on what is important. You are not living your life for people to see. You are living your life for yourself and for your loved ones

If you need to complete an assignment or project, finish it first, and then proceed to relax. Take charge of your life. If you fail to plan, others will arrange your life into their plans and you will forever live out the dreams of others.

Surround yourself with those who exhibit the life you would love to enjoy. Quit wasting your time with pass timers; your time is prime real estate, once past, it shall never be recovered. Treat it therefore as it deserves.  Until we speak again, I am your host Mitchell Odhiambo. Welcome to a man’s world. To get a female perspective on this, check out Mercy’s post HERE
