Would you take back a Cheating Spouse?

There is a story behind everything. How a picture came to be nailed on a wall, how you got the scar on your face, how your parents fell in love and so on and so forth.  Some stories are simple, others are hard and heartbreaking. Cheating, my friend, belongs to the latter group. I cannot imagine what I would do if this happened to me. I just pray like everyone else, that such pitfalls stay far from my household.

The truth however is; incidents such as cheating do happen in relationships. They happen to people we know, they have happened to some of us reading this article. Take a minute and think about it. Would you take him/her back? To be honest, I don’t know.  Let’s look at what my friends did.

I have a friend who loved a woman so deeply; and whenever that happens, you can only see her crystalline eyes, her pure soul and the angel in her. It happened that the woman in question got pregnant by a different man, bore a child; unfortunately the Dad who sired the child went deadbeat. That notwithstanding, my friend’s love for the woman remains unwaivered . I dare say, it has grown since; he is now more interested in marrying the woman than he was before. Should he take back a cheating spouse? Be my guest. For him, love is stronger than death.

On the other hand, I have a friend cut from a different piece of cloth. He burnt to the ground a three year relationship over the fact that his girlfriend still kept in touch with her ex-boyfriend. It is certain that the long-term suspicions eroded the aroma of trust within the relationship until he eventually called it off.  He sure had his reasons. Do you think he would take back a cheating spouse? I don’t think so. Would you?

Think about it and keep your answers close to your chest.  Be faithful to your partner. You do not want to pierce like a sword the innermost being of the one you love.
