THE QUIET SAGE: IN SILENCE YOU SPEAK SO LOUD

The irony of life is that those who know much, speak less and those who know less, are all over the place with their mouths open.
I am amazed by the wisdom some quiet sages display. Its breathtaking to have never seen anything selfless like a tree. It sacrifices its leaves to form a shadow for other living creatures to shelter from the scorching sun. Let us learn sacrifice ooh ye humans. It sacrifices its fruits to become food to other living creatures without storing some for itself. Let us learn altruism ooh we selfish people. It offers itself up to be a home to thousands of birds by letting them build nests on it. Let us be resourceful to those who can never repay us. It patiently grows straight to be transformed into costly furniture that its descendants will never enjoy. Let us live our purpose out without being self-centered.
Besides, a tree paints nature with splendor and fragrance with its flowers. Let us be challenged to beautify someone’s life at one point of our lives just to see them happy. A tree takes in the carbon dioxide and purifies it to give us oxygen. Taking the useless things in life and transforming them into the most precious thing money cannot buy. What level of selflessness it that?
I wish human beings would stop for a while and learn the free lessons trees are always teaching us daily. Most of the time, we are so busy rushing from schedule to schedule that we miss seeing what nature is pointing us to. We are living in a noisy world that does not allow us to enjoy serenity and listening to the soft voice of the ancient of trees. Could it be the reason why we are passing through life after chasing only what benefits us? Ooh ye trees of the ancient days, great teachers thou art. The most peaceful piece of creation; the most selfless creation to ever live. With humility let us learn the great wisdom you freely teach so that we may know that life is not about self. Let our lives be impactful to another being, be resourceful to a needful soul, be beautiful in these ugly times, and become precious, rising from the broken pieces.
You are more than a tree, live to achieve more than it ever will. Best wishes from Martin
